What would you do if you BSNL broadband stops working? Well, tech things done and the deduction being that the problem is from their side, what would you do? I tried calling 25514444 for 2 days with no response. Has anyone tried visiting your area telephone exchange? Does it help? Any other pointers?

Yes been there...
To lodge your complaint you need to call them at 18004241600. But anyway they wont take any action.
Suffered it for more than a week, problem being at their side.

As a last resort I tried their Customer care at yediyur, been redirected to yet another office and then got it resolved. You can try your luck at it.

i'll say this for airtel - they may be slow in installing the initial line, but their customer service is excellent thereafter. if you have persistent problem with bsnl you might want to consider switching.

I agree. The only problem I had was getting BSNL to disconnect their Data One service. Took a few visits to the Telephone Exchange but I'm almost there now. I think.

Ya absolutely, I have heard that too about Airtel. Indeed I tried to get Airtel first, but weird as it sounds, they do not cover my area. Basavanagudi, I thought was a prime area and they do not cover it. Dumb weirdness. I do not know on what basis they plan to cover certain areas and some not.

So is Dominos pizza home delivery :(. Weird pl these. Now I know what more to consider when I look for a new house :)

And my other concern was also the landline from Airtel which is a mandatory buy. For folks like me who have had BSNL ever since they know of phone, this was a matter of consideration.

but airtel once sent me a bill of 50,000 for two months and made me run around for 4 months just to get things fixed. i just dont trust any service providers at all.

Going to the telephone exchange and meeting the people there does help. But you are right, service is poor.

What would you do if you BSNL broadband stops working?
Wind up with a good book and think this is a good chance to take a break from the internet, and yeah, I would keep my fingers crossed.. :D

If its a generic problem, don't even bother to contact anyone.. Whatever you do, it will be solved at its own pace.. If its particular to ur connection, going to exchange helps from my prev experiences..

I faced this when I had BSNL.
Had to go to their exchange which is 500mts away from my place.
Got hold of a lineman there and got the work done and gifted the guy(This is Uttar Pradesh)
After that I switched to Airtel.
Whenever there is any problem I call their customer care and next morning somebody is at my doorstep.

dude never call up when you can just visit the exchange. i get my work done within the same day when i drop them a visit. they once told me as well, that calling up is no use.... well i wont say its hopeless, but going there gets your work done faster...

Ever since the gateway went down last week in Bangalore their 1800 call centre number is flooded with calls. No hope of getting through that one. Bit I did receive unexpected help and good service from several other BSNL employees including their DEs in case of trouble with Dataone.

Today I called up the BSNL divisional engineer incharge of the 18004641600 call centre and he took note of the escalation. I also called up the manager of the call centre firm and vented all grief on him for about 15 minutes - he accepted there is a staffing problem and informed they were already working on it and expect everything to be set right soon. Hope things get better soon - it is frustrating not to be able to even lodge a complaint.

You can call too and put some more pressure so that they recognize the seriousness -

Well I started with the telephone directory which had the number of the DE in charge of telephone complaints call centre - she kindly put me onto the DE incharge of the dataone call centre and also the PGM email addr.
By the way, there is a small correction as follows -

Hi,

Can anybody listen to my problem. My broadband connection is not working most of time (down time 95%) and there is nobody who can attend this problem. Customer care is a big zero with BSNL. At the most they will give some telephone no, which nobody picks.

I don't have time to go to BSNL offices and waiste time.

Please think 10 times before going for BSNL broadband. It's look cheap but it's simple waste of money.

Atul,

If you do not have time to waste.. and go to local BSNL office. I dont think it is for you.
You can try with AIRTEL. You will not need to visit anywhere all the services will be at your doorstep.

You may have to well understand the fact of BSNL is a kind of government company. Which still is not accustomed with the latest trends. If you can follow some customs of government offices you can get the service otherwise.. private provider would be good for you.....

Even I too having connection of BSNL BROAD BAND. NEVERTHLESS TO SAY FED UP OF THIS CONNECTION. SO THINK 100 TIMES BEFORE OPTING FOR IT

I wonder if it is any surprise that this journal is under "Bangalore" head, although one would imagine BSNL problems to be common across the country!
i guess it is more to do with how being in IT city, people tend to expect this basic facility to work without hassle. the unique thing here is that they are so lazy they will simply not fix the prob-- gift or no gift. at least other cities, once they take bribe they will do your work!!

we are the users of BSNL phone from past 8 years and we have broad band connection to. but the problem is phone and broadband both are not working from
29-3-08. we already lodged the complaint on 30-3-08, the complaint no.. is 1879
(B N Bhagyalakshmi ph no. 08028565484 sector A yelahanka new town bangalore 64. no body turned up, except one person he did only visual inspection and not assured any thing. mean while we tryed to contact Mr Nayak DG of yelahanka new town of BSNL on
4-04-08 and 5-04-08 at 3:30 pm, he was not there. because of this poor and worst service of BSNL we are fed up.
we are having association "CITIZENS FORM" at yelahanka new town , bangalore 64.
we regreate to inform you if the things is continuing like this there will not be any offen, you are forcing us to go for private connections like Airtel and others.

i do hope that within 24 hours the connections will be alright.

BSNL Broadbang Bangalore Random disconnects

For a week on more the broadband at home disconnects randomly. It goes down and comes back up every few minutes. The have the log file from the broadband modem below. I have tried the LAN and the wireless connections. Does anybody know whats happenning & how to correct

I need to take a bsnl data one connection. Since I dont have a landline, I need to apply for basic phone too. Is it possible to apply for both together. I am not able to get any information on this regard. Can anyone help with a BSNL Bangalore customer care number? Or if you have any other information available on getting Dataone and Basic phone connection together please share the information.

Yes. you can visit to BSNL customer service centre and apply for both broadband and basic phone. if you book in mela time you will get free insatallation, basic phone, sim, wi fi modem etc. hope these info help you. bye harish

deer sir mera internet conection 22.6.09 se cut gaya hai mera 250 home palan conectin hai maine salana bill bhara hua hai phir bhi mera conectin kat diya gaya hai aur fir se bill aagayi 4800 somthing ye bill bhi maine 3.7.09 ko paid kar diya lekin abhi tak 1.8.09 tak mera net conect nahi hua hai
excheng per complen karne par kahte hain banglor se kata hai
maine 1 mahine se kitna complen kiya hai par koi sunwayi nahi nahi ho rahi hai maine apni line parmament katne ko kaha hai wo bhi nahi ho raha hai mera landline no 05450242629 hai

Worst Service by BSNL Senior Line Customer Care Representative

i have recently called the Bsnl cc with regards to the Bad Network problems happening for past few months.I could some how manage to get hold of a L1 agent who transferred me to a Senior line and the response from the L2 agent was so pathetic that i was shocked by the word usage he did. He was lacking things like Patience,listening skills,call handling skills,professionalism,fluency in english,probing,empathy....which are the basic requirements expected from a normal agent working in this profile and what to spek of a SENIOR LINE ????!!!!!!. I just wonder on what basis these guys are recruited. The joke was when i told him that the problem is intermittent and is happening for past six months for which i have done all the possible troubleshooting steps, he was still asking me to perform some silly troubleshooting and waste my time which clearly indicates that he did not listen to the point i mentioned that this is happening since six months. What should i undertsand from this ????
Was the agent dreaming on the call??? Or was he Wandering all around the world???After all this...... he asks me again to let him know what the problem is and then again the hopeless troubleshooting starts.When i got frustrated with his behavior i have asked him to expedite the call to his manager but the Senior line agent was hesitant to do that and finally disconnected without a resolution. Wow!!!!!!!What a clear indication to me that the these guys are 'Totally unfit' for the job they are doing and also waste of time in contacting them. But still i made a point to call them again to escalate it to the Service Delivery Leader but however again the call gets disconnected.
Looks like some magic works when the word Escalate is spoken on the call that it gets disconnected.
Obviously i believe that these guys are not trained on matter of accountability to call back the customer when the call gets disconnected!!!!!!!! i just want to know how it feels to BSNL the great great great grand organization to have such kind of irresponsible , reckless , most disobedient , unprofessional, mutely miscommunicative agents in such responsible place called as SENIOR line ????????? To me itself aweful to post such a bad comment !!!!!!! Wonder abt yu ppl!!!!

I have WLL connection with a speed I never seen. so i decided to go for land line connection and booked on 13th july 2010. the next day I recieved the workorder no. and the message telling that the new connection will be serviced shortly. Till date no connection has been given and if i call customer care or DE or exchange no body recieve my call. If I try to mail a complaint it bounces. This is the status of BSNL.
